Be a Part of History

Show your pride in our community by sharing some southern hospitality with our guests from around the world. Lake Lanier Olympic Park will host athletes and spectators from over 20 countries for the ICF 2018 Dragon Boat World Championships, the largest international athletic event to be held on Lake Lanier since the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games.

We need your help to make this event a success. Volunteers will assist with:

  • Event logistics

  • Technical racing operations

  • Marketing and hospitality

Volunteer tasks will include technical support for scoring of the races, monitoring safety measures from the water, hosting athletes in our hospitality area, event security and participation in the opening and closing ceremonies.

Event organizers will conduct volunteer training seminars and will help you select the job that is perfect for your skill set and availability. All volunteers will receive a custom event jersey, event credentials, and, of course, hospitality from the event including a meal or snack during your work shift.
